Francisco holds a master's degree in conflict resolution from Columbia University with a concentration in US civil rights.

He has participated in educational initiatives in Kenya, Ecuador, India and in Senegal, has facilitated conflict resolution extensive courses within the Massachusetts Department of Corrections through the Alternatives to Violence Project; created restorative justice approaches to conflict within the New York City public school system; and has co-facilitated cross-cultural conversations on gentrification in Harlem.
